Hello! I'm Pamela, or 'PJ'
Your Primary Instructor here at SKB
I'm lots of different people who own a large collection of dresses, and wear many metaphorical hats. Over here at SKB I am your main guide and teacher, and Maker-of-all-The-Stuff. It's just possible you are drawn to this course because you're a little bit like me. If you're an imaginative, non-sales-y, sensitive type who needs to run a business to solve the problems you're good at solving for people, you'll find some kindred spirits here. Starting with your instructor!
What I bring to this space is 25 years’ experience in micro- entrepreneurship, healing arts, performing, marketing, writing, communications and voice.
Teaching and facilitating are my jam. The SKB Curriculum is the foundation for the multiple business streams I run with my partner, so I am living it with you: always learning, iterating and staying curious.
My CV is unapologetically eclectic, but the key themes that run throughout are healing arts, vocal performance arts, written communications and entrepreneurship. I've taught writing to skeptical agriculture students, holistic health to starry-eyed practitioners wanting to change the world, and self-regulating stress-busting techniques to oil and gas execs. I CEO an IT staffing firm by day and facilitate community song circles by night (or on Sunday afternoons!) With all of the experience and self-study learning I've done in small business, I'm pretty sure I could have a PhD by now. . . except most universities don't have a Department of Singing/Creative Writing/Healing Arts/Entrepreneurship.
Clients say I'm good at listening, empathizing, gently helping you see the big picture from a raven's-eye view, then generating some possible ways forward, and focusing in on practical, get-it-done strategy.
I’m also a homebody who loves being with people when I’m teaching or performing. I value building your business through connecting, storytelling, tapping your innate creativity, healing the things that hold you back, leveraging the skills I know you already have, and treating your online clients as though they are the member of a close-knit village where you have to see them on the high street, every day.

An introspective seeker who likes to help kind people generate work that nourishes them. I bring 22 years' experience in sales, management & entrepreneurship, working with independent contractors and large organizations. Long ago, I earned an MBA that I've almost forgotten about, and got trained up in sale strategies which have received some serious upgrades over the years. I am the Managing Partner of the IT recruitment firm I own with PJ (deepnrecruitment.com ). I used to write dramatic thriller film scripts in my spare time, but gave it up around the time when real life started to look too much like one of those scripts. Now I enjoy getting outside for activities in the beautiful mountains where I live. I help with SKB strategy and answering student questions.
